Journal
The book Perks of Being a Wallflower is a book that I really enjoyed reading. I'm not the type of person that loves reading or even somewhat likes it. For me to actually want to take time before bed and read or to just sit down on my couch and read instead of doing something like watching TV, it will have to be a really good book. I felt like this book was a really good book. The plot was so strange and creative and I wanted to know everything that was happening to Charlie and all of his friends.
While I was reading the book, the message I received was that high school can be so difficult. You can try to avoid stuff by turning to drugs and alcohol but what really makes you feel better at the end of the day, is your friends. And you can tell your friends everything. Also that you don't need a lot of friends, but you just need really good ones.
The
Charlie
Charlie is a boy who doesn't necessarily have many friends. I think I can relate to him that way. We are both shy people until really getting to know us.

SamSams is a very beautiful girl that Charlie has been in love with since the day they met. Her and Charlie have gone through a lot in their relationship. From sharing their favorite songs and bands with each other, partying together, spending holidays together, sharing secrets, to not even speaking to each other. I can relate to Sam because I feel like I can be helpful with people's problems and am not judgemental like her and I am a good listener.

PatrickPatrick is very unique and original. He loves his friends and made Charlie feel like he mattered. Patrick was brought down by some people and had to keep secrets because of someone he was involved in. I think I can relate to Patrick because even though I care what people think about me, unlike Patrick, I always try to be myself.
